Full Description

An exceptional value, the 2015 Silver American Eagle graded MS70 by the Professional Coin Grading Service is also classified as a First Strike; meaning the coin was received by the grading company within the first 30 days of minting. Such a designation guarantees a high quality strike and retention of detail.

The Silver American Eagle contains one ounce of .999 Pure Silver, and features the iconic Walking Liberty image from American Numismatic history. First minted in 1916, the famed Adolph A. Weinman's Liberty Walking designed was used on the half dollar until 1947 when the design was discontinued.

Shown on the Obverse of the 2015 Silver American Eagle is Lady Liberty as Weinman pictured her so long ago. Facing left, Liberty is shown walking in full figure with her arm outstretched towards her destination as she clutches an olive branch. "Liberty" is inscribed abover her, "In God We Trust" on the right and the year of the coin below.

A modern reverse design was chosen to be featured, and has remained relatively unchanged since its introduction in 1986 (small changes were made in 2007). The heraldic eagle design is similar to the Great Seal of the United States, and showcases our wonderful history in one minimistic design.

Part of the American Eagle bullion coin program, each coin's weight and purity is guaranteed by the United States Mint.
