Full Description

The 1912-S Liberty Nickel 5c PCGS MS66 is a key date S-Mint coin. A total of 12 coins are graded by PCGS. The coin is in light golden color and struck with a great amount of detail. The 1912-S Liberty Head Nickel was struck at the San Francisco Mint.

The total mintage was a mere 238,000 coins which make it almost as rare as the 1909-S v.D.B Cent. Although PCGS certified examples in MS-63, MS-64 and MS-65, the ones with MS-66 certification are truly rare  to be found.

The Obverse

The obverse sports the head of Liberty in left profile and surrounded by 13 six-pointed stars with the year (1912) printed at the bottom.

The Reverse

The reverse sports the roman numeral 'V' denoting the coin's denomination with the words United States of America surrounding the denomination.
