Full Description

Made in the United States, the one ounce copper rounds were minted privately and are guaranteed to contain one-ounce of .9995 fine copper.

Known for their fierce bravery in battle, the Spartans have become the ancient representatives for modern day disputes. Allegedly uttered by King Leonidas during the famed Battle of Thermopylae, “Molon Labe,” or “come and take” has become synonymous with the freedom and right to bear arms.

The copper rounds provided contain an image with a satin frosted finish and are polished to give the background a mirror-like appearance, similar to the proof finishes of the U.S. Mint. Reeded edges, much like the U.S. quarter, are also a feature of the copper rounds.

A battle scarred Spartan helmet is shown in front of beautifully displayed spears, and crossed swords. The Greek saying is written above as “Molon Labe,” and below in classic Greek letters.

On the Reverse is displayed the modern warriors weapons, crossed in similar fashion to the swords, with the star and cannon: symbols used by the Texans fighting during the Texas Revolution. “Come and Take It,” appears above, with the weight and purity shown below.

Pure copper rounds, like the one ounce .999 Copper Molon Labe are sensitive to the oils of the human hand. GMR recommends handling your coins with gloves, or by the edges to avoid staining the surface. Store in a sulfur-free environment, like the pvc tubing, or capsules to ensure the longevity of your investment.
