Full Description

The 1903 to 1929 Indian Head $2.50 and $5.00 coins are the inspiration for this interesting 1/10-ounce Incuse Indian Fractional Silver Round. Unlike most coins and rounds, the incuse design is engraved below the level of the background, making this fractional silver round a unique choice. Minted in .999 Fine Silver, this silver bullion round works well for investors who want to diversify and add to their precious metals holdings in an economical and flexible way. Each of these Fractional Silver Round is produced by Golden State Mint and arrives in uncirculated condition.

Obverse

The front of this silver round features a Native American chief in a full feathered headdress in a left-facing profile. Above is the word ‘Liberty,’ below is the year 1929, and between these along the edge are stars. The original design was first created by Bela Lyon Pratt and used on the Indian Head quarter eagle and half eagle coins.

Reverse

Pratt also created the original design that was used for early 20th century coinage and now used anew for this Fractional Silver Round. The design depicts an eagle standing on a bunch of arrows with an olive branch intertwined. The weight and purity are listed at the bottom, while the mottoes ‘E Pluribus Unum’ and ‘In God We Trust’ are inscribed to the left and right of the eagle.
