Full Description

A sound investment, Uncirculated, or Mint State, Gold American Eagles can be included in Individual Retirement Accounts; helping to protect your future against unexpected economic downturns. The 2014  Gold American Eagle has a face value of $25, but the half-ounce of 22-karat gold makes it much more valuable.

Rendered beautifully in 22-karat gold, Saint-Gaudens Liberty looks just as majestic as she did when she was first minted in 1907 during the Roosevelt era, when the President called for a Renaissance of American coinage.

From 1986 through until 1991, the dates shown were composed using Roman Numerals; from 1992 onward the dates are shown using the standard numeral system. On the Reverse, a male American bald eagle is shown presenting an olive branch to a mother eagle and her hatchling. The design was created in 1986 by Miley Busiek, a sculptor most known for her patriotic and religious artwork that graces churches and universities alike.
