The 1942 Mercury Dimes are quite popular amongst coin collectors with their fine sculpting and exceeding quality standards. Though the Mercury Dime was struck by United States from 1916 to 1945, but the 1942 mint held a distinctive significance in the heart of investors.

 

Obverse:

The obverse features a young and beautiful portrait of Lady Liberty, in a side pose wearing a winged cap, which symbolizes 'liberty of thought'. This captivating image was sculpted by Adolph Weinman.

 

Reverse:

Also designed by Adolph Weinman, the reverse shows olive branches wrapped cordially around a fasces (bamboo). It was designed in 1916.
