At GMRgold, we are proud Texans and support those in our community. We proudly support Texan Chris Kyle, who rose to prominence with his 2012 memoir and Oscar nominated film adaptation, American Sniper.
Kyle’s military career began in 199 with the 24-week Basic Underwater Demolition SEAL school (BUDS). He served for four tours of duty in the Iraq War. Recognized as one of the deadliest snipers in U.S. history, he became a legend among the general infantry and Marines he was tasked to protect. He was awarded the following honors:
- Silver Star Medal
- Four Bronze Star Medals
- Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal
Upon returning home, he underwent a different kind of warfare that many Veterans face – He struggled to adjust into to family life. Kyle and his wife Taya dedicated themselves to charities benefiting veterans returning from active duty.
Chris Kyle Frog Foundation
Kyle was killed tragically on Feb. 2, 2013. Today his wife and children continue to honor his legacy through the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation. Founded on Veteran’s Day 2014, Taya and her dedicated team honor God, our Country and the families who serve. They create experiences that strengthen military and first responder marriages and families.
Chris Kyle Day
In honor of the fallen hero, Texas Governor Greg Abbott declared Feb. 2 ‘Chris Kyle Day’ in Texas. GMRgold is proud to be a sponsor of the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation. Our commemorative pieces directly benefit the CKFF. To see the collection, visit GMRgold.com.
