Full Description

Previously known as NTR Metals, the internationally renowned precious metals refinery, is now Elemental Direct. Located in the lonestar state, the Texas owned and operated company creates their own precious metals products for investors and collectors alike. GMR is proud to offer the 1 ounce pure copper rounds created in the USA, and cannot help but recommend the fantastic craftsmanship and value that this coin exudes.

American bison’s or as they’re more commonly referred to as American Buffalo, are a species of North American bison that once roamed the grasslands of the western frontier in massive herds. The 19th century brought thousands of frontiersman looking to forge their fortunes in the untamed land, unfortunately for the bison, commercial hunting and tremendous slaughtering of herds plus the introduction of bovine diseases decimated the buffalo population and drove the species close to extinction. American buffalos are making a come back, and populations are steadily growing thanks to conservation efforts concentrated in a few national parks and reserves.

Obverse

Shown on the Obverse of the pure one ounce silver coin is a depiction of a large male American bison facing right in profile. Foliage from it’s natural habitat can be seen in the foreground surrounding the majestically depicted figure. Above the animal “The American Bison” is inscribed.

Reverse

On the Reverse of the .999 copper coin, a striped and starred shield is shown in minimal detail. Surrounding the shield are thirteen stars, which appear on many of our nation’s coinage to pay homage to the original 13 states. Above the weight, and purity of the coin is noted.

Pure copper rounds, like the one ounce .999 Copper American Bison coins are sensitive to the oils of the human hand. GMR recommends handling your coins with gloves, or by the edges to avoid staining the surface. Store in a sulfur-free environment, like the pvc tubing, or capsules to ensure the longevity of your investment.
