She was friends with Martha Washington's granddaughter, as a child and met Zachary in Lexington. Zachary was leading his way up in the army ranks and Peggy followed him throughout the continent .

Margaret wasn't happy that her husband was fighting for the Presidency in 1848. Her fear came true when Zachary died only 2 years  as President. She had never approved him of becoming the President. She was so hurt that she didn't attend the funeral.

The Obverse: The obverse shows a portrait of Margaret Taylor designed by Phebe Hemphill and sculpted by Charles Vickers.

The Reverse: The reverse shows a soulful young Peggy attending an injured soldier during the Seminole War. The reverse design was by Mary Beth Zeitz. The same was sculpted by Licaretz.
