Full Description

Comprised of a half ounce of .900 gold, the same weight as the ten-dollar coin, issued in 1933; the $10 Los Angeles Olympiad Gold Commemorative Coin is captures a proud moment in American history. 

Designed by John Mercanti from a concept by Mint artist James Peed, the front of the coin depicts two olympic athletes running, one female and one male, with the Olympic torch in hand.

Shown on the back of the coin is a heraldic eagle similar to the Great Seal of the United States, and shows the denomination below the imagery.
