Issued by the United States mint, the Walking Liberty half dollar coins are one of the few favorites among the coin collectors and investors. These were minted between 1916 and 1947 with a 90% silver composition.  

Obverse:

Lady Liberty walking and holding olive branches with the United States flag wrapped over her shoulder. the sun is rising on her left side

Reverse:

A bald eagle rising from a mountaintop perch. Both obverse and reverse designs are sculpted by Adolph A. Weinman, a member of National Sculpture Society, between 1916-1947.
