The Mercury Dime, popularly known as Winged Liberty Head dime, was struck by the United States mint from 1916 to 1945. The detailed craftsmanship adorning both the front and back side of the coin is designed by Adolph Weinman.



The Obverse face represents a young Liberty wearing a winged cap, as designed by Adolph Weinman.



The reverse side shows olive branches wrapped around fasces (a bound bundle of wooden rods including an emerging axe).
