Full Description

The 1932-S Washington Quarter is one of the two key coins in the Washington Quarter Series. At just over 400,000 coins, the mintage was the lowest of the series. This quarter-dollar coin was struck in 90% silver/10% copper at the San Francisco Mint, the coin offered here was graded by NGC as a Very Good coin, being well-worn but with the main design still visible. The 1932-S is an ideal choice for beginning collectors and those who have not yet added it to their Washington Quarter Series. It is highly collectible and easy to trade.

Obverse

The obverse design was created by John Flanagan and features a likeness of a bust of Washington sculpted by Jean-Antoine Houdon in 1785. This design was also used on several commemorative coins and medals. Washington faces left, with the word Liberty above, year below, and the motto “In God We Trust” to the left with the mint mark below.

Reverse

The reverse shows a heraldic eagle holding arrows in its talons. An olive branch is shown below the arrows and the face value of Quarter Dollar is below that. Above the eagle is United States of America and the motto E. Pluribus Unum.
