Full Description

The 2014 1 oz. Silver American Eagle, offered here as an NGC MS68 Early Release, is a popular .999 pure silver bullion coin. The Early Release designation means it is a coin approved by NGC within 30 days of the first release of the 2014 Silver American Eagle coins. The coin is encapsulated to protect the coin and to provide verification that the coin is in MS69 condition, so close to perfection that no defects or blemishes are visible to the naked eye. The Silver American Eagle is prized by collectors for its magnificent design and by investors as a safe investment that is the only U.S. coin eligible to be placed in a Precious Metals IRA.

Obverse

Adapted from the Walking Liberty design created by sculptor Adolph A Weinman, the obverse design of the 2014 1 oz. Silver American Eagle presents a truly patriotic image. Lady Liberty is shown draped in an American flag, walking towards a rising sun. The year 2014 is shown below Lady Liberty and the motto “In God We Trust” appears to the lower right of her image. “Liberty” is printed in large, bold letters above and behind Lady Liberty.

Reverse

The reverse design was created by John Mercanti, a U.S. Mint sculptor and engraver. It features a heraldic eagle with 13 stars arranged in a diamond shape above its head. The eagle is shown behind a shield holding arrows in its left claw and an olive branch in its right The majestic eagle holds a banner in its beak that is inscribed with the motto “E. Pluribus Unum. Inscriptions on the reverse are “United States of America,” shown above the eagle, and “1 oz. Fine Silver-One Dollar” engraved below.
